Maimane “Joe” Mosupyoe a seasoned Mining Professional, with more than 24 years of mining experience of which more than 18 years has been on different leadership roles within the mining & metals industry i.e. Mining Engineer-Production, Works Manager, Mine Manager, Head of Mining operations and General Manager. Joe holds a Masters in Engineering (Project Management) from University of Pretoria focused on Technology Management, BSc in Engineering (Mining) from University of Witwatersrand, Diploma in Business management, Programme in Safety management from Unisa & Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency from DMRE.

Joe has had mining exposure in both underground & open pit/opencast mining methods and mineral processing, having operated both aggregate, chrome, and carbon-in-leach gold processing plants.

Amongst other acquired experience is within Mine’s rehabilitation, stakeholder engagement, Mine planning, Pit optimization, Business Improvement & Productivity Improvement initiatives. Skilled within multiple commodities; Aggregates & ready-mix manufacturing, chrome, Gold, and Zinc.

Joe possess strong operational management, process optimization, productivity improvement, business improvement, production management and Safety & health management skills.

During his tenure at different leadership roles he was recognised for improved safety performance and was able to sustain profitability of marginal or rather low grade assets.
