Ori Phayane

Ori is a qualified attorney who has spent most of his 20 plus years career honing his skills by advising on various M&A and other commercial matters within the mining sphere.

He began his career at a leading corporate and commercial law firm, working predominantly in their mining department before joining BHP Billiton (now BHP Group) in 2007. Ori then joined a manganese alloys smelter in 2012 before starting with UMK in 2018. He holds a BA LLB from the University of Cape Town.
