Handover of rural water supply in Lebonkeng and Gamadubu Village – Joe Morolong local municipality

June 27, 2023 – Accompanied by the Members of the Executive Committee, Infrastructure Chairperson Cllr. G. Kaotsane, Chairperson of Planning, Development and Tourism Cllr. N. Mokweni, Ward 10 Cllr Thapelo Mosegedi, the Representatives of United Manganese of Kalahari Mine (UMK) Ms. Gloria Mbatha and Mr. Terrence Mamabolo, the Mayor of Joe Morolong Local Municipality Cllr Dineo Leutlwetse-Tshabalala handed over gigantic rural water supply project that aims to improve the lives of the communities of Lebonkeng and Gamadubu.

Today, the main contractor Tsaathebe Construction was formally introduced to the community. He was accompanied by the engineers of the project that presented the detailed scope and overview of the project to community.

The community was urged to work together with the contractor, the Community Liaison Officer, Traditional Leadership to ensure that the project completion becomes a successfully.

On behalf of Council, the Mayor thanked UMK for their endless and collaborative efforts in continuing to improve the lives of people of Joe Morolong.
